DR. STEVEN JONES
Dr. Steven Jones is the CEO of JONES, a firm based in San Diego with a national and global list of clients, that specializes of diversity and organizational effectiveness consulting. Nationally known as “One of America’s Top Experts on Diversity” (DiversityInc magazine), Dr. Jones is a National Diversity Advisor to Sempra Energy, Honda and Hyundai. Dr. Jones holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a Master’s in Multicultural Counseling, and a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. In 2003 Dr. Jones published his first book, Journey to Excellence.
Dr. Jones shares his talents as President of the Central San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce, and is on the Boards for LEAD San Diego, the San Diego Chapter for Teach for America. For two years he has been recognized by the San Diego Business Journal as one of the “500 Most Influential Leaders in San Diego.”
Founder & CEO - Inqwire, PBCJill Nephew is the founder of Inqwire, PBC a company on a mission to help the world make sense. The Inqwire project takes Jill’s background in creating tools and models to help people think about complex systems, and applies it to the mother of all complex systems – the human mind.
The designing of the Inqwire system, required her to attempt to answer a fundamental question: how does technology interact with the mind’s ability to make sense of life, and what are the principles that technology should follow to maximize this ability?
Jill has a diverse science and engineering background that she brings to her work. She has worked as an engineer developing tools, platforms, and software languages to integrate complex systems and help people find solutions to complex, real-world problems. She developed algorithms and models in the area of constraint-based optimization (a subset of A.I.) to help people schedule, plan, and forecast across large enterprises.
She has modeled a variety of complex systems, such as drug binding dynamics, motion control, disease kinetics, protein folding and drug binding, atmospheric pollution, human articulated movement, complex fluids, and most recently, personal meaning making.
John tracks the evolution of Recruiting and HR Technology. As the Principal Analyst at HRExaminer, he has the pulse of the very edge of technology. He is at his best when he is a little past the edge. That’s where the future materializes. Today, John is the leading analyst n the topics of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology in Recruiting and HR. His landmark study, The Emergence of Intelligent Software in HR and Recruiting Technology continues to make lightbulbs go off over the heads of its readers. Sumser is in the process of researching the second edition of the report. John works with both vendors and corporate leadership to help imagine the next steps in technology driven Recruiting and HR. He believes that the function is in the process of being disrupted. He publishes the HRExaminer, a weekly slate of articles by industry veterans and hosts two weekly radio shows: HRTech Weekly (news), HRexaminer Executive Conversations (interviews).

Kevin Wheeler Founder and Chairman the Future of Talent Institute. Kevin started FOTI in 2004 out of his passionate belief that organizations need a more powerful and thoughtful architecture for talent than they have. After a 25 year career in corporate America serving as the Senior Vice President for Staffing and Workforce Development at the Charles Schwab Corporation, the Vice President of Human Resources for Alphatec Electronics, Inc. in Thailand, and in a variety of human resources roles at National Semiconductor Corporation, Kevin has firsthand knowledge of the need for better strategies and approaches to finding, developing and retaining people.
Today, Kevin is a globally known speaker, author, teacher and consultant in human capital acquisition and development, as well as in corporate education. He is the author of numerous articles on human resource development, career development, recruiting, and on establishing corporate universities. He is a frequent speaker at conferences. He writes a weekly Internet column on recruiting and staffing, which can be found at www.ere.net, and he and Eileen have written a book on corporate universities, The Corporate University Workbook: Launching the 21st Century Learning Organization. He serves as adjunct faculty at San Jose State University, the University of San Francisco and on the business faculty at San Francisco State University.

Future of Talent faculty member Eileen Clegg, MA, FRSA, is founder of the company Visual Insight that supports Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits and government agencies with human-interaction processes and visual communication.
She is a book author and is known for her large-scale timeline murals. She has a B.A. in Philosophy from U.C. Berkeley and M.A. in Psychology from Sonoma State University.
